London is an amazing city in which to get married. From the traditional to the funky, the weird to the totally outrageous, you really are spoilt for choice as to the venue.

We’ve put together a list of what we consider (in our humble opinion) to be the 8 best wedding venues in the capital to choose from.

Horniman Museum and Gardens

This wonderful museum is located in Forest Hill, South East London, and offers three special and unique options for your wedding and/or reception. These are the grade II listed Victorian Horniman Conservatory that boasts a wonderful terrace and views across the gardens. It can accommodate up to 120 guests and is fully accessible for those with disabilities.

Or you could choose the brand new pavilion, built in 2011 as part of the Horniman Gardens renovation project. With floor to ceiling windows, the pavilion can host up to 80 guests, and has a private outdoor terrace for al fresco dining.

For an intimate ceremony, why not consider The Bandstand. Or alternatively you can come here for photographs following the wedding ceremony. The views are outstanding, with many of London’s iconic landmarks as a backdrop.

Vinopolis

Vinopolis also offers a selection of locations within its walls, from intimate to quirky, old-fashioned grandeur to the epitome of sophistication – the choice is yours.

Somerset House

For pure glamour, look no further than the iconic buildings of Somerset House. On the banks of the River Thames, this is a location that can house the largest of wedding parties (with capacity ranging from 8 – 1,500 guests). The venue offers many different locations, including the Lightwells and Deadhouse below ground with amazing lighting, the River Terrace or the West Wing for some old style grandeur.

The interior courtyard also offers a wonderful location for some amazing photographs amid the historic architecture of one of London’s most famous buildings.

You’re not limited to a standard package, either, as Kettners will create a bespoke day according to your wishes.
